“APUSH4PEACE is special as an idea to change the world; but the students involved are special to me because I’ve watched them grow over three years — the end is never as impressive as the journey.” – Mr. Aubuchon

On December 3, twenty-five Oakmont students, under the guidance of Mr. Aubuchon proposed the idea of building bathrooms for a school in Cambodia, to a panel consisting of  Dr. James Vander Hooven President of Mount Wachusett Community College, Mr. David Uminski principal of Oakmont Regional High School, Mrs. Barbara Cohen Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and teacher at Oakmont, Mr. Justin Sparks Representative on the Regional School committee, Mr. Ben Robinson Vice President of the Ashburnham-Westminster foundation of Academic Excellence. The Students began the night by presenting their goals, fundraiser ideas, and contingency plan while also showing their research and inspiration. Congratulations to the members of APUSH4PEACE who were approved for their request for a starter fund of $1,000
