Girls’ Cross Country Celebrates Senior Night

On October 3rd, 2023, the Oakmont Girls’ Cross Country team faced Leominster and Fitchburg for their Senior Appreciation Night. Oakmont had an amazing day, beating both the Blue Devils and Red Raiders. The seniors that were celebrated and who will be greatly missed are McKinley Chabot, Paige Humphrey, Ava Bjorkman, Sara Curran, and Izzy Wandless. Congratulations Spartans!

Sophie Newell is a part of the Class of 2026 at Oakmont Regional High School, this is her third year as a member of The Oakmonitor. She is a member of the Marching Band, Class Office, SADD, SHF, and the lacrosse team. In her spare time, she enjoys being with friends and swimming. After graduation, she hopes to go to college to become a pilot. Sophie has already been recognized for her writing talents, being awarded an Honorable Mention in the Will McDonough Boston Globe Sports Writing contest.
