Each summer and spring we yearn for fall and winter, and the perks it has. From Christmas, snow, winter sports, and lots of other activities. Countless people countdown to this time of year. The warm weather, no school, swimming, and all summer fun. It feels like a constant loop of waiting for the next season to arrive. But which season is actually the most preferred?
All seasons have a fair amount of pros and cons. The cold and the seasonal blues are a common letdown when it comes to wintertime, but lots of people enjoy the chilly temperatures outside and winter’s other added perks.
Summer is such a fan-favorite season as well. Summer is seen as a freedom point of time for students. With no school and no academic responsibilities, people can use their time to indulge in whatever sparks their interests. Warm weather brings joy and more outdoor interests but also painful heatwaves and bugs.
Each season has plenty more positives and negatives, but which season is actually most preferred in New England? New England has a very different climate ranging from blistering heat to bitterly cold weather throughout the twelve months of the year. Based on research conducted by adventurelife.com, the best time to visit New England is during the months of June to October.
During the fall months of the year, traveling to Massachusetts and our nearby states is fairly common to see our color-changing leaves. This makes fall our most-voted favorite season.
The summer months are also rather popular with citizens and people who travel to New England. Maine is a hotspot with places like Old Orchard Beach and Acadia National Park which causes lots of attraction. Even closer nearby places, like Cape Cod, bring many tourists from all over the country for its beautiful landscapes, beaches, and delicious seafood.
Although winters can be harsh in New England lots of people make a trip up northeast to ski or snowboard. Almost all of our surrounding states have ski resorts and frequently visited mountains. Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire get many visitors from December through February simply for their slopes.
Last, but not least, there’s spring. This is when the sun starts to shine, the snow starts to melt, and the flowers start to bloom. According to boston.com, the city of Boston is the perfect place to visit during the spring. Locals and tourists can catch the train and visit the Boston Public Garden. Many people also enjoy the sporting events you can either attend in person or broadcast during the springtime. Sports are a big part of our New England culture and many people look forward to that time of year for that reason in specific.
