A crush — what is a crush? According to wikiHow, a crush is the feeling when you have a million butterflies flying around inside you when that special someone is around. Everyone feels different when they have a crush but the real question still exists — how do teens feel when they have a crush?
Some may describe it as wonderful and it gives them something to look forward to every day. Others may think it’s stressful, wondering if they like you back, wondering if you look good enough for them, or even going out of your way to see them in the hallway. Everyone experiences it differently.
Gabby Comeau, Student – It makes me feel happier and it makes me more excited to do things, and I feel excited when I get to see them every day. It makes me feel like I have more power.
Anonymous Girl, Student – I feel like I get hyper-aware of myself like it matters what I do and wear. It motivates me when I see them.
Anonymous Girl, Student – I feel nervous, I tend to do things that will make me run into them, if that makes sense. I also look down if I’m walking by them.
Connor Cataflamo, Student – My stomach gets queasy and I get nervous around them.
Mr. Nevard IN THE 80S – You would dress really cool and then you would make a note in class, and then you see them in the hall, and give them the note and you try and get their number, and when you get their number you just call them, but you had to pull the cord around the corner to talk to them.
These are just some examples of how others feel when they see, talk or just think about their crush.
It’s pretty obvious that pretty much everyone feels the same way about a crush they have or have once had. Whether you feel anxious and nervous or you feel stressed about seeing them, everyone understands the feeling of walking by your crush in the halls or seeing them in class.
