I Pledge allegiance to the flag…
You stand for the flag. Kneel for the fallen, remembering the lives that were lost. As you stand, you look around to see you are the only one. Flags around you are being burned left and right, the flag has no importance anymore. Something that was so important has lost all meaning.
One Nation Under God…
But what if you don’t believe? Why would you believe in something that lets so much bad in? forced to believe in a higher power, yet you don’t. You just sit and pretend as everyone around you preaches about the good he has caused.
Indivisible with liberty and justice for all…
A completely wrong meaning. Indivisible. “Unable to be separated”, yet we are. We are separated into groups from an early age that stick with us as we grow up. Separated by race, or gender. Liberty equals freedom, but freedom is not what we have. People are wronged for all types of things but never get freedom. The freedom we deserve only happens when we are gone off the earth. Freedom doesn’t exist. Justice. Everyone preaches for justice, but why don’t we have it? Justice for the gays, Justice for abortion. Our justice is being ripped away from us one by one, and we don’t even have a say.
I Pledge allegiance to the flag…
But you don’t. As you stand for the flag, and kneel for the fallen. You pledge allegiance to the people who protected you, you pledge allegiance to the family you were born into. You pledge allegiance to the country you once loved. The flag has a meaning. But it has the wrong one.
