Letter from an Underclassmen
I have been an Oakmont student for almost 2 years now. It’s been an interesting time so far.
A big part of the Oakmont community is sports and the past two years I have participated in the outdoor track and field team. I know that sometimes track and field isn’t the most popular sports team and they don’t get too many shoutouts on OTV, but the community and the family aspect of the team is why I love it so much.
I am not the best runner or the best thrower but everyone on the team is so nice and welcoming; I am always excited to go to practice and see everyone. (Except when Brunel has an unholy workout planned for us).
A huge part of this atmosphere is all the seniors. I am writing this article as a thank you, and a farewell to all of the graduating upperclassmen on the team. Your leadership has been well appreciated and we underclassmen won’t forget you anytime soon. (Especially you Sarah and Jack)
I would like to wish you all good luck wherever life takes you
