On Wednesday, May 22nd the Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans traveled to the State House in Boston to be recognized for their championship win at finals this fall. The Spartans got a tour of the house led by Jon Zlotnick, a member of the House of Representatives. The students also were allowed to go on the floor of the House as they were announced to all the representatives, telling them about the Spartan’s win. This was only able to happen because of the hard work these students put into the program. Great job Spartans!

Kaitlyn Renda, Editor-in-Chief
Kaitlyn Renda is part of the Class of 2026 at Oakmont Regional High School. This is her third and final year writing for The Oakmonitor, and she is currently the Co-Editor-in-Chief. She’s in Marching Band, Jazz Band, SHF, Best Buddies, OEA, SADD, and NHS. She also competes in outdoor Track and Field in the spring. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with friends, playing and listening to music, watching movies, and volunteering at her church.
