Every Saturday, hundreds of thousands to upwards of millions of fight fans tune in to watch the UFC’s weekly live fighting event. Whether you’re buying tickets to the event or the PPV (pay-per-view) it’s always a great event to witness. If you do not know what the UFC is, it is a MMA (mixed martial arts) fighting organization owned by Dana White.
The event they have coming up is named UFC NOCHE it’s the 306 UFC title event, and it’s headlined by Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili. Sean O’Malley is the bantamweight weight champion of the UFC he will be fighting Merab Dvalishvili on the 14th of September. I’ll give my opinion on each fight in the main card and who I think will win. Starting with Ronaldo Rodriguez vs Ode Osbourne, I believe that Ronaldo takes this fight easily with a Rear Naked Choke in round 1 in the latter half.
Next up is Daniel Zellhuber vs Esteban Ribovics, Daniel Zellhuber is the more rounded fighter and has gone against superior opponents. Esteban’s only notable opponent is Terrance Mckinney who is an alright fighter but isn’t at the level of competition I believe Daniel is at.
Brian Ortega vs Diego Lopes is next and this is one of the most competitive fights on the card. Brian Ortega has fought multiple of the greatest fighters to exist and future hall of famers, such as Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanaski. With saying that though he hasn’t beaten those fighters. Brian Ortega has been tested multiple times and has failed to go up to what was needed of him. Diego Lopes is an up-and-comer and has been on a fantastic win streak. Even though this fight is INCREDIBLY close I edge it out to Diego Lopes.
The next fight is the co-main event being the Women’s Flyweight Championship with Champion Alexa Grasso vs Valentina Shevchenko. This is their third time in the octagon together with the record being 1-0-1 with one win and one draw going toward Alexa Grasso. Their last fight ended in controversy with a Draw with many believing that Valentina had won convincingly but to the judges she didn’t. With acknowledging the statistics going into the fight I believe Valentina will take the belt back home with a very convincing win, either by Decision or by KO.
Now time for the main event, ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley vs Merab ‘The Machine’ Dvalishvili. This is the headliner fight that I believe is gonna be an extremely one-sided fight by the ‘Suga Show’. Sean has fought much better competition than Merab and has beaten better wrestlers than Merab which is his only strong suit. Merabs only good wins that have aged well is a fight against Petr Yan who Sean has beaten before. Merab has beat Jose Aldo who is one of the greatest fighters but has been on an infamous losing streak to which he had retired. He also beat Henry Cejudo but he has been on a losing streak also and has retired again. Sean has beaten Marlon Vera, Petr Yan, and Aljamain Sterling all in Convincing ways. This fight has the potential to be extremely competitive but I just don’t see that happening. I took Sean with a KO in round 4 after picking him apart.
Well, those are my takes on the main card of UFC NOCHE being held in Paradise, Nevada at the Sphere which is a new venue recently made which has a capacity of 20 thousand. Will you be tuning in and watching? I sure am!
