As this week comes to a start lots of excitement or disappointment may fill the room. The good thing is however, week 1 is over, the hardest week in all of fantasy. So now for all fantasy managers it’s only up from here.
Roy’s picks:
This week you must be starting Malik Nabers. He is coming off a solid week one performance with bringing in 5 receptions for 66 yards on 7 targets. This week one performance by Nabers shows a lot. It shows that Giants coaches and Daniel Jones have a ton of faith in the young receiver wanting him to be a focal point in this offense. The Giants greatly struggled against the Vikings being controlled all game, despite having more time of possession. However, this week the Giants will play a struggling Commanders secondary and should be looking to be pass heavy getting the rookie lots of looks and chances to make plays.
For this week sit DK Metcalf, he is likely to be guarded by Patriots corner Christian Gonzales. Gonzales was Ja’Marr Chase’s primary defender last week. Chase did catch every ball thrown his way however, he was held to 62 yards which is a huge win for any corner guarding him. Now with Gonzales coming off a week like that and the Patriots extremely strong defense with great schemes. Metcalf is almost sure to have yet another down week and be suffocated by this strong Patriots secondary.
Billing’s Picks:
This week I interviewed Oakmont math teacher Dylan Billings. His must start for week 2 is 49er’s running back Jordan Mason. Mason is coming off a huge week 1 performance against the Jets who are one of the strongest defenses in the NFL. Billings believes that Christian McCaffery’s newly found achilles tendonitis is going to limit the star running back to a minimum number of snaps, if he even plays. Even though McCaffery is by far the better receiving back, Mason adds so much value to the run game and has big play ability every time he touches the ball. Also once a back gets going Shanahan loves to keep them in, so if Mason gets going early like last week you can expect huge plays from him.
Billings must sit for this week is any Packers receiver. We were both able to agree on the fact that Malik Willis is going to have an insanely hard time getting it done for the young Packers offense. In Willis’s NFL career he has started 3 times never throwing a touchdown while throwing 3 interceptions. Taking any chances on these receivers is a huge gamble especially with them all being very young. To switch quarterbacks between weeks is a very tough thing for any receiver to adjust to and where these players have little experience it’s best to stay away from Packers wideouts this week.
