Thanks to all who participated in our survey. The idea we had was to simply get how different individuals experience school, hopefully giving everyone an idea of different perspectives within the student body.

Is school a fun place for you?

The majority of the students at Oakmont who took the survey recorded that school ‘is alright’ overall with the votes being 40 out of 56. 10 say they ‘love it’ and 4 say they ‘hate i’t, along with two unspecified votes that we can chalk up to mixed feelings. We can see that most students find school to be neither good, nor bad, and just somewhere in between. With most of the students choosing “alright”, and only a few having intense love or hate for it. It seems to line up with the moods projected by the rest of the student body who didn’t participate. 

Many people’s favorite part of school is being able to speak to their friends, with 31 votes. Clubs are the least interesting with this group getting only 1 vote from the people taking the survey. I do however believe that we may have just gotten a group of people that don’t go to clubs or aren’t in any. 

The majority of students taking this survey have said that electives are their favorite class with 18 people backing my statement up. This must be because this is not a class where you learn about the core subjects.  

Overall, we can get a nice idea of the opinion of the student body.
