There are hundreds upon thousands of new books coming out this year. Among those books, I chose three to discuss and dissect. Those books are: Keeper of the Lost Cities Unraveled, Percy Jackson: The Wrath of the Triple Goddess, and Somewhere Beyond the Sea. 

The first book I’ll be discussing is Keeper of the Lost Cities Unraveled by Shannon Messenger. This will be Keeper of the Lost Cities 11th installment in the series. This book, however, is not from the normal main character’s perspective but rather from Keefe Sencen who is typically a side character. Although I have to admit it does make sense since Keefe was not actually in Stellerune ,which was the last book in the series, but in the real world up until the very end of the book. So this book will finally reveal what really happened in the real world and how exactly he got so rich. This book will be coming out on November 24th, 2024. I think that this will in fact be a good addition to the series because it will answer many questions and mystery’s and we will also be able to know who the person who was hunting Keefe was. For a second opinion, here is the opinion of Emma McLeod: “I think that the concept would be pretty interesting however I don’t typically read Fantasy books.”

The second book I will be talking about is Somewhere Beyond the Sea by T.J. Klune. Somewhere Beyond the Sea is the 2nd installment in the Cerulean chronicles. This book is not from the perspective of the caseworker but instead from the perspective of a master of the orphanage. This is a big deal in the series because we will be able to find out some of the secrets of the orphanage. This book will be coming out on September 10, 2024. I personally think that this book would be interesting because it means we will be able to spend more time with the magical children and learn more about this world’s magic system. For another opinion on this book is a person who wished to remain anonymous: “I think that this book will not be good because the last book for me at least was just too realistic and really just took me out of the world, so my hopes for this book are not that high.”

The final book I will be talking about is Percy Jackson and the Wrath of the Triple Goddess by Rick Riordan. Percy Jackson and the Wrath of the Triple Goddess is about Percy Jackson trying to get into his dream college. But there are, of course, mythical obstacles he will need to surpass. In order for him to get into his dream college, he must get the recommendations of three gods/goddesses. This book will be coming out on September 24th, 2024. My opinion on this book is not good because I do not think that this will be high quality. I think this because a couple of years ago Percy Jackson ended and it was a good and satisfying ending, but now it feels like Rick Riordan is now milking the series dry.
