Oakmont has been doing spirit weeks for homecoming for several years. This year’s homecoming dance is being held on October 5th and the homecoming football game is this Friday (10/4). The spirit week starts this Friday (9/27), here are next week’s themes and more insight into what the theme includes.
Friday (9/27): Class color day!
Freshmen wear red-
Sophomores wear yellow-
Juniors wear purple-
& Seniors wear blue!
Monday (9/30): Night in or Night out!
If you choose to dress for a night in, make sure you wear your night clothes like comfortable clothes. For dressing up for a night out dress up like you do if you were to go out.
Tuesday (10/1): Jersey day!
When dressing up for jersey day, make sure you wear your favorite team/player jersey and represent them here at Oakmont!
Wednesday (10/2): Adam Sandler day!
Adam Sandler is an American actor from New York. He often dresses in baggy clothes including basketball shorts, baggy tees, tennis shoes & slippers, and sometimes sunglasses. For this spirit day dress up in these items to perfectly replicate the Adam Sandler look he is known for.
Thursday (10/3): Country Vs. Rock!
This theme is based on two popular opposing music styles: country & rock. If you choose to go dress country, remember to wear your cowboy hat and boots, and throw on a plaid shirt for an extra touch. For dressing rock dress in dark-colored clothing and even include some unique leather items!
Friday (10/4): Rock Sham Bo!
For this unique theme bring in a beaded necklace and more information is going to be provided on that day.
