About This Collaboration
Coca-Cola has a new limited edition “Besties” collaboration with the OREO Brand! This shocking collaboration was officially announced, August 15th, 2024. The products officially came out in stores September 9th, 2024. There is a new Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar drink, and of course, OREOs! The new products are available nationwide.
First off, the drinkable products consist of a Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar drink in a can, which is sold in 7.5oz and 12oz, a bottled drink, which is 20oz, and there is a Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar slushie available at 7-Elevens. And there is a 10ct case of the 7.5oz cans. Now for the edible products! There are 3 different options for the OREO packages. First, there is a 20ct pack of these Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar OREOs. Next, we have the smaller packages which are a 4ct pack and a OREO roll.
Taste testing and honest review
When you first open the pack they smell like normal Coca-Cola at first. The actual cookie is a mix of both brands. One side of the cookie is red and either says “Coca-Cola,” or has a picture of 2 coca-cola bottles leaned against each other with bubbles. While the other side is black and says the classic “OREO.” The filling is the classic cream color but with Coca-Cola popping candy in it to recreate the fizzing in an actual Coca-Cola drink. What do these cookies taste like? They taste like normal Oreos, just a little fizzy. Now the drink. I got the 7.5oz cans from Market Basket and they taste not much like Oreo, just like sweet marshmallows dipped in Coca-Cola.
What inspired this collaboration?
“The bestie bond forged between Oreo and Coca-Cola is a playful way to unite our fanbases and celebrate the power of connection and togetherness” Said Eugenia Zalis, the global head of marketing and brand for OREO.
Lastly, fans of this unexpected collab can activate something called, “Bestie Mode” on Spotify by scanning the on-pack QR codes to merge you and your “besties” music tastes and make custom playlists “commemorating their friendship.” This is one of the coolest, but weirdest collabs ever.
