Imagine sitting down to watch the new Deadpool and Wolverine movie and the opening scene being Deadpool dancing to ¨Bye bye bye¨ by NSYNC and fighting off the TVA with Wolverine’s metal skeleton. Many people loved that scene.Reagan Bouchard, class of 26’ said,¨The opening scene of Deadpool and Wolverine was AMAZING. It had me laughing from the second the movie started and I didn’t stop until it was done!¨

The Deadpool franchise -in my opinion- is one of the funniest Marvel movies I’ve ever watched. It was so fun to watch an anti-hero as he deals with his trauma while he tries to get revenge on the people who tortured him but gave him his powers. 

Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) is kinda part of the X-Men, as is Wolverine-played by Hugh Jackman. Wolverine is kinda a sad, depressing character with a bunch of trauma which he and Deadpool have in common. The movie starts with Deadpool being taken to the TVA because they are going to destroy his world because their main ark/character wolverine, died wade (Deadpool) wants to save his universe so, he goes to different universes trying to find a wolverine to replace the one that died. Wade goes on a crazy adventure on his way he meets Charles Xavier’s twin sister and he meets other deadpools on the way.

Oakmont students took a survey to state what they thought about the movie. Most of Oakmont says that the first Deadpool movie was their favorite. The 2nd most liked was the new Deadpool and Wolverine. A good amount of people hated the 2nd movie even leaving comments talking about how much they disliked it. On the other hand, we got some pretty good comments talking about the movie overall.

A lot of people had different favorite parts of the movie and most people said it was super funny or that it had a lot of action scenes. Finley Catlin, class of 27 said,¨It was very humorous, but also action-packed. A little bit of everything.¨Others thought it was very gen-z like Emily Gaudet class of 25’  said,¨Fan catered. The script tried too hard to fit in with the Gen-Z audience. Very teen-targeted.¨

  Deadpool is one of the most loved Marvel movies, mostly because it’s different from the other Marvel movies For ¨Weston Sinclair said, It had a different style than the rest of the Marvel of movies.¨ Some Marvel movies are serious or sad, but Deadpool is like a mix with a bunch of dark humor and action ¨Izzy Edson stated, I love the Deadpool movies because of how funny they are, definitely my favorite Marvel movie.¨

Overall the new Deadpool and Wolverine is a great watch. I 10/10 recommend that you watch it.
