There is one thing that every Oakmont Marching Band member thinks about.
Senior Year Finals.
Some may dread it with everything they have, some may be excited for the final performance of their high school career. Playing your last note or catching your last toss, everyone has something they are worried about. Before these 2025 Graduates have their last “With Pride”, let’s all take a moment to acknowledge these Spartans.
Polina Arsenault
My name is Polina Arsenault, I’m a snare in the battery, and I’ve been in band for 3 and a half years. I love all of the football games and hanging out with my section. Winning finals last year was definitely a core memory, I cried out of happiness because it was my best friend’s senior year and I was so happy that she got to graduate on a win. I love getting to compete as well. My favorite show is the winter show, Everest. It has a special place in my heart. It was the first show I did and it was so fun and colorful. The music was so good too. I’m most excited to participate in all of the opportunities we have. The Fall season is my favorite, I’m looking forward to the cold Fall rehearsals, getting to clean all of the movements, playing at football games, playing in parades, and competing. I want to win finals again this year. I would like to thank my staff for being so funny and patient with me while I try to learn, my parents for paying for everything and participating in all of the fundraisers even though they don’t actually care, and my friends and my section.
Abigail Cenotti
My name is Abigail Cenotti. I am a drum major and am in the flute section and have been marching for 3 years. My favorite memories are the competition buses. I loved taking BuzzFeed quizzes with Savannah, talking with the people sitting around me or just falling asleep after a long day. My favorite show to perform in was A Grimm Tale. I am most excited about being in Division 5 and showing the other bands how two small towns can have an amazing band. I want to shout out my best friend, Savannah, for being the reason that I stayed in band.
Bella Derby
My name is Bella Derby, I’m in the Woodwinds section, and I’ve been in band for six years. My favorite memory is the announcement we won the championship at finals, Football games, and the feeling after performing in my first-ever finals. My Favorite show is A Grimm Tale. I’m most excited to win a championship AGAIN(praying). I would like to shout out my brother (alumnus and past drum major)

My name is Rachel Koula, I’m in colorguard, and this is my third and final year of marching band. Some of my favorite memories consist of walking off the field after giving a competition my all, senior night ‘24, and walking down Main Street USA my rookie year. I’d like to shout out my mom who has supported me through all of my decisions and I could not be more thankful for her.

My favorite shows have been Icarus: The Fallen Son (my first season) and A Grimm Tale (my first fall). I’m really excited to perform for crowds that love marching band as much as I do and also to have the finished alien puppets on the field. I want to shout out all my guard friends who have kept it so very real for the past few years (you all know who you are) and the guard staff. I’d literally be so lost without all of them.
Persephone Panageotes
My name is Persephone Panageotes, I am in color guard, and this is my fourth year in band! Some of my favorite memories are mostly with my friends at competitions. Hyping each other up, or just conversations we have on our way there or back on the bus. Winning a championship was also pretty great 😉 My favorite show I’ve spun was A Grimm Tale, not only because we won a NESBA championship, but also because the concept was such a great idea, and I made so many great memories. I’m most excited about the competitions and more memories I’ll make with my friends! I would like to thank all my friends, for being there for me, and always supporting me. I would like to thank my parents, for always supporting me and my extracurricular schedule. Hopefully, we’ll win another championship, and I’m so excited to create so many more memories this season!
Connor Richey

Also one of my favorite memories was back during Covid, Mr. DeMoura made us run to the fence when it was cold out and some of us were trying to touch the scoreboard. But when I tried jumping over the fence, my shoe got caught on the fence and I fell face-first into the ground. My favorite show was A Grimm Tale. I am most excited to be in the top division and to go against the best. I would like to shout out my mom for always helping out the band and driving me to rehearsal.

My favorite show is this years, War of The Worlds. I’m most excited about the competitions and making more fun memories! I would like to shout out anybody who is my friend in the band along with my siblings Abby, Sam, Jacquelyn, and my parents.
Bee Titus

Some of my favorite memories are of being on the band bus heading to competitions and the feeling of walking off after a good show. My favorite show was A Grimm Tale. I’m excited to have fun with my friends and put on a good show. Everyone in the band has been so supportive and helpful. But my mom is definitely worthy of a shout out for how much she does as well as Michael LeBlanc who taught me how to play saxophone.
Other seniors include Kaden Aubin, Willa Olshan, and Leia Voyer.
As these seniors have their final performances think about how far they have come and how far they are going in the future. We can all see how much they have improved and how much they will continue to improve. Seniors, I hope you enjoy your final Skittles.
