NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges): a nonprofit membership organization, founded in 1885, partners with over 1500 schools consisting of public, international, and private schools. Their main goal is to assess schools and based on that assessment show schools how they can better as a whole and what they need to work on.
NEASC came to Oakmont on November 18th starting their day with a meeting with the teachers asking about the curriculum and environment of the classroom. After this, the students took the NEASC members on an insightful tour of the school showing them the day-to-day for Oakmont students. After this NEASC members went to some Oakmont classes in session, to see some of the classes and curriculums Oakmont teaches and offers to students. They later transitioned to separate meetings with parents and students to see how they liked Oakmont and their opinions of the school.
