This generation is always listening to music. Music is life for many, it’s people’s pride and joy. People spend thousands just to go see their favorite artist, they spend countless hours listening to music. Music is this generation’s obsession. So of course when the Spotify wrapped 2024 came out, the world went crazy.

Spotify Wrapped shows your top artist, your most listened to songs, albums, genres and podcast, and how many minutes you have listened this year.

People quickly began to post and brag about their top artist and top song, the release of this years Spotify wrapped is an exciting day. Not only for the people but also the artist. Every artist strives to be at the top of their listeners’ 2024 wrap.

So, heres the 2024 wrap statistics! For Spotify the top listened to artist was Taylor Swift. The top song was “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter. The top album was “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” by Taylor Swift. Lastly the top podcast was “The Joe Rogan Experience”

Music isn’t just songs, its something that can get people through hard days, break ups, long drives, homework, lyrics people can relate too. The 2024 wrap makes it possible to look back at your favorite songs and artists that possibly had a big impact on your life.

Molly Horgan is part of the Class of 2025 at Oakmont Regional High School. This is her first year being a part of The Oakmonitor. She is a three sport varsity athlete at Oakmont, playing soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track in the spring. She is also part of NHS, Peer Leaders, SADD, Yearbook and Spartan Center at Oakmont. In her free time she enjoys going for runs, hanging with friends, shopping, listening to music and loves going to the beach in the summer.

Jada LeBlanc, Reporter

Jada LeBlanc is part of the Class of 2027 at Oakmont Regional High School. This is her first year being a part of The Oakmonitor. She does varsity soccer, basketball, and lacrosse here at Oakmont. She is also a member of Spartan Center. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, spending time outside, listening to music, going on walks, and going to the beach.
