I wake up on Christmas day; full of joy and glee
Ready to find what “Santa” left for me
I open my presents with speed and expectation
Not showing any signs of Hesitation
I get a look at my present and what do I see
Exactly what I wanted… yippee!
This Christmas was all that I asked for
It was Christmas truly at the core.
Then I go to the window looking for white all over
Looking for a comforting white cover
But then, when my eye saw the yard
I could do nothing but keep my mouth ajarred
I ran outside to see if my eyes deceived me
But they were right to a degree
Though it was colder than what I saw
There was one main thing wrong after all
WHERE’S THE SNOW; I shout and say
WHERE’S THE SNOW ON CHRISTMAS DAY
After my grief, I go inside
Where I let out a big old sigh
Today is Christmas; full of joy indeed
But a not-so-white Christmas is not for me
