Billie Eilish has so many songs and albums that have gone off the charts in the last few years, becoming the third most popular singer and songwriter in the world according to Kworb.net. She made her latest album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” in 2024, which has gone viral throughout the months. Here are my favorites from the album.
10. “The Diner” is my number 10 because it is about how Billie had a stalker for a while. I personally don’t relate to it because I have never had a stalker, but the beat and her voice are magnificent, and overall, it is a great song.
9.“Lunch” is my number 9 because I admire how she expresses her feelings of love towards women. I also love how the song is very upbeat, I listen to it all the time.
8. “Chihiro” is my number 8 because it describes how Billie is trying to rekindle with someone, but they keep leaving her. I love the funky beat of the song, and the sound of her soft voice just puts me in a good mood when listening to the song.
7. “Blue” is my number 7 because I really like the song, and I like how her voice sounds with the background vocals. I relate to “Blue” but in a different way. In Blue, Billie talks about her dating someone toxic, but for me, I grew up living with someone toxic, and how that person grew apart from my family.
6. “Bittersuite” is my number 6 because it is about Billie having great memories with a past lover but doesn’t want to get back together with them. I relate to the song because I was in a relationship with someone and had a great time, but I don’t think that I could get back together with that person.
5. “Wildflower” is at number 5 because in the song she says that she would love someone till the day that she dies. I personally relate to the song because if I was dating someone then I would love them for the rest of my life if I loved them that much. It is still one of my favorite songs off the album. The song is very slow and I can hear Billie’s emotion as she sings. The background vocals of the song make the song ten times better. Overall, it’s a very great song.
4.” Birds of a Feather” is at number 4 because I wouldn’t really want to die for someone but I would. With previous crushes that I have had, I have been in a situation where I have felt that, but it wasn’t really major or even a lot, it was just something very small. But “Birds of a Feather” has a very good beat, and it definitely kept me interested in the song.
3. “The Greatest” is my number 3 because I really do think that the song has a very good tension to it. In the beginning of the song, her voice is very soft and quiet, but towards the middle/end of the song her voice starts to get some heavy action and you can hear how she feels as she sings the lyrics.
2 . “L’Amour de Ma Vie” is my number 2 on the list because I kind of relate to the song by having a few breakups, but I haven’t faked any of the relationships. I am able to hear the emotion in her voice as she sings. The song is very mellow and soft, making it a great song.
1 . In my opinion “Skinny” is the best song because I can really relate to it, just because in my past life I developed a self-image and I started to really hate how I looked, and listening to “Skinny” basically expresses and describes what my life was like before and during middle school.
Overall, every song on this album is great, and I would recommend giving it a listen. The songs come from the heart. Billie puts her best work into her albums, which explains why they always go viral and remain popular today.
