For years people have wanted an AAU complex that wasn’t so far from them in Central Mass, now they have that. It is Game on in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. But it is not all good at Game On, While Game On is so close to people in Central Mass and offers opportunities for all different sports, they are one of the only complexes in Massachusetts that charges for parking during tournaments and have expensive food prices. Let’s take a look at the complex.
In Central Mass how many AAU complexes are there in the area? According to aausports.org, there are only 5 total in the whole state. Such as Game On Sports (Fitchburg, MA) owned by Steven L. Marsden, The Mill Works (Westford, MA) owned by Christopher Yule, The TRACK at New Balance (Boston, MA) owned by New Balance and Tarkett Sports, American International College (Springfield, MA) owned by Nicolle Cestero, Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park (Hanover, MA) owned by Frank Teixeira. While it is refreshing to have near by complex’s but other times when it’s not in Central Mass kids are playing at MPLEX in Mansfield, Mass Premiere Courts in Foxborough, and Starland in Hanover.
What sports does Game On Fitchburg have to offer?
With Game On being a huge facility, it has numerous sports, activities, and even events sometimes. For sports Games In Fitchburg they have pickle ball, cornhole, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, and many more for baseball they hit and lift inside of the gym next to the basketball courts. For shows, they have midget wrestling inside of Game On. For activities, they host axe throwing, and they also have an arcade with a variety of games, They also host sports camps over the summer with all sports.
Brandon Hulecki, an employee at Game on Fitchburg said, “I’ve been working here for a little while now and I love the job. It is very easy and I get to be around the game I love basketball. and the owners are chill and relaxed.”

Rentals/Day passes
According to Game On Fitchburg , indoor basketball court rentals range from prices like $125 per hour (1 Court), $100 per hour for multiple courts (Under 5), $85 per hour (5 Courts). The open gym prices range from $5 per hour per person (Pickleball Only). $20 daily (basketball, dodgeball, badminton, lacrosse, field hockey). $10 per hour, per person (Volleyball ONLY). $20 per hour, per person for Entire Day (School Vacation Week Special Only) and $5 per hour, per person for cornhole. For Outdoor Field rentals prices range from $250 per hour, per field. Also, to play it is $20 per person.
Parties
Game On also has three different types of parties that you can schedule with other things included in each one and prices. There is the MVP party, Champions Circle, and the Game Day Bash. The MVP party includes: 1 hour on a court or field, and 1 hour in a private party room, The Birthday kid is free, Up to 10 participants are included in the price (an additional $20 per additional child), 2 slices of pizza for each child, Unlimited fountain drinks, and a staff member will organize and make the experience fun. The MVP Party costs $450 for 2 hours. The Champions Circle includes: 1 hour on a court or field, 1 hour in a private party room, Birthday Kid is free, up to 10 participants included in price (additional $20 per additional child), 2 slices of pizza for each child, and Unlimited fountain drinks. The Champions Circle costs $425 for 2 hours. Lastly, the Game Day Bash includes: 30 mins on a court or field, and 30 minutes in a private party room, The Birthday kid is free, and Up to 10 participants are included in the price (an additional $20 per additional child), 2 slices of pizza for each child, Unlimited fountain drinks.
Game On’s New Membership
For the longest time, Game On only had a one-hour $10 fee to play on the courts and it was nice. It was affordable for the day and lots of people were happy until they changed it. Now for a day at Game On it costs $20. If have the membership for $65 a month, members used to be able to bring in a friend for free. But now it costs $10 to bring someone in when you have a membership. If you take Game On’s $65 a-month membership compared to Mount Wachusett Community College or (MWCC) membership, the Mount has 3 basketball courts, a gym, and an Olympic-sized pool. The price for a young adult cost 25 dollars a month, which is 45 dollars cheaper than Game On Fitchburg.
But is not all good at Game on, they are one of the only complexes in Massachusetts that charges for parking during tournaments and the large prices for everything.
How do people feel about Game On’s equipment?
We have been going to Game On since it opened and it has progressively got more expensive. But also they have added a couple of new things, which were explained earlier in the article.
When was Game On finished building?
Game On is a 45-acre facility that was first opened to the public in September 2021. Now Game On Fitchburg may be big if you compare the size of Game On to one of the biggest sports complexes in the country Spooky Nook, Manheim, PA. According to spookynooksports.com, Spooky Nook is 700,000 square feet compared to Game On’s 120,000 square feet.
Programs at Game On
Game On has a lot of programs/leagues, as well as camps and tournaments. According to gameonfitchburg.com, They include camps like: Summer sports camp, Ace Academy volleyball camp, Elite basketball camp, Lacrosse camp, and lastly baseball camp. Game On’s clinics include: Game On Soccer Academy, Speed and Agility Clinic, Elite Basketball and Baseball Clinics. Leagues are a big thing at Game On, whether it be adults or youth. For the youth side, they have AAU basketball tournaments, high school and middle school basketball and lacrosse leagues, and a high school soccer league. On the adult side, they have Men’s and Women’s volleyball leagues as well as the (GBL) or Game On basketball league which has a men’s and women’s league. Tournaments at Game On are ZG (Zero Gravity) and Tough Love which is a 3rd-8th grade boys and girls tournament.

How is the quality of food at Game On?
They say to grab a quick bite, or meal, or grab a smoothie, but they forget to add that they are running up your pockets.
It costs $10 for a little fruit cup, $10 for a smoothie, and $9 for mozzarella sticks. The food is mediocre at best but has the price of a 5-star cuisine.
