On Friday, May 2nd of 2025, Oakmont Regional High School held its annual Evening with the Arts. During this, the amazing student creations of the Art, Technology, Engineering, and Music departments are showcased for the public to see.
From 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, the halls of Oakmont were flowing with creativity. One could stroll through the halls and observe the artworks, and pop into Tech Ed to see some of the robots or go-karts the students designed. While on the way out, one could also catch some wonderful live music.
While walking in, I caught a glimpse of the artworks made by the talented young artists in Oakmont’s art department. Many of the displays looked as if professionals made them, and I felt as if I were a millionaire walking into an art display.
The band could be heard all throughout the school. Their songs added a great atmosphere to the event and set the millionaire auction vibes with their music. I must say, the audience was captivated by the band’s preformance.
Technology Engineering was nothing short of impressive. From the VEX displays to the Video games, Photography, and go-karts, there was a great display of student ingenuity. The future engineers showed their skills.
I had covered the Evening with the Arts 2 years ago, in my freshman year. And I must say, this year’s evening with the arts has come so far. It is truly one of those events that improves every year and gets better. Although Evening of the Arts is only 1 night, it goes to show that Oakmont is an awesome school. We have great staff and very promising students. Thank you, and good work to all the students and teachers involved!
