French Honor Society fishes for tradition
If on April Fools Day you saw someone walking around unknowingly with a fish on their back, you would think it was pretty strange, right? Well, in France, ever since 1564, it’s tradition . . and the French Honors Society made it tradition here at Oakmont.
On the morning of April 1st, there were dozens of fish that were taped to a board. The goal was to take a fish and stick it on someone, but you had to be sneaky because the one you were sticking the fish on couldn’t find out. All the fish were different. Some were plain, some were detailed, some were big and some were small.
But a select amount had googly eyes on them. If you had fish with googly eyes at the end of the day, then you got a prize! A gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts. This year was a success and The French Honors Society can’t wait to do it next year!
