Saying Goodbye to a Friendship
Saying Goodbye to a Friendship
Ava Franciosi
It was the kind of friendship that was forgiving, no matter what happened you always would be laughing about it seconds later. The kind of friendship that was bonded by blood. Someone that you trusted with everything in you. The first person you would call if you were in trouble, and the only person who truly knows you. It was the kind of friendship that just felt so complete. Like without them your life would fall to pieces. A friendship so strong that you never actually imagined them not being there. It was the kind of friendship that you never knew was so special until it was gone.
It was the kind of goodbye that felt never ending. Almost like you will never have the chance to say it again. The kind of goodbye that your siblings would say to each other when leaving for college. When someone you love leaves you behind but you have to be happy for their success. It was the kind of goodbye that doesn’t hit you until late at night when you are alone. When your heart feels sore from the hurt. When you have to blink back your tears so no one will see. It was the kind of goodbye that was pure pain. Like something good will never come again.
