Oakmont Field Hockey Is Off To A Great Start!

The Oakmont Field Hockey Program is off to a great start this season. The varsity team  has a current record of 2-1. The girls came into the season trails a-blazing. They took home their first win away against Groton-Dunstable, winning 4-1. Senior, Colleen Schubmehl netted three goals along with Senior, Payton Collette adding on one more for the girls against Groton.

A tough battle lost to Lemonister on home turf gave the girls a fire to push into the next game against Shepard Hill.  Sophomore starting goalie Annika Sallila is having a great season so far with a shutout against Shepard Hill. A beautiful 6-0 win boosted the morale of the team. Senior Madi O’brien scored 2 goals for the team. Along with goals from Colleen Schubmehl (Senior), Ava Cote (Junior), Olivia Souers (Junior), and Rachel Simkewicz (Sophomore). The girls play at Westborough High today at 6pm.
