The Flaws of Lucy in the Sky: Opinion
Homecoming is upon us, therefore thousands of teen girls across the country are hunting for the perfect homecoming dress. Some teens hop online to find the perfect dress in hopes that it’ll fit once it comes in the mail. Others hit the malls to try on dresses in person, however it seems that the majority of teens have moved to dress shopping online.
It seems easier, right? Much easier than driving forty-five minutes to an hour to a somewhat good mall. In recent years, due to COVID-19, Lucy in the Sky has turned into a popular homecoming dress website for teens. They have a huge selection of super cute, affordable dresses. So obviously, to a lot of teens, this is a steal.
However, Lucy in the Sky has a lot of issues, the main one being its shipping and delivery. I myself ordered my dress from Lucy in the Sky back in early September. It has yet to even ship yet.
It’s not just me though, it’s other teens as well. An individual from the Oakmont Regional High School student body commented, “I ordered three dresses from Lucy in the Sky. They sent me an email confirming my dress would be here in two weeks. A week until homecoming and my dresses still haven’t shown yet. I decided to cancel the order and go in-person shopping instead as my backup plan. Two days after I canceled my order, two of my dresses showed up. Not only late but in the wrong colors. I freaked out. Usually, I would return them but Lucy in the Sky has a no-return policy. Like what?! So now I’m stuck with two dresses in the wrong color. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
This is all over the internet too. People were enraged with the store because of wrong orders, delayed shipping, and orders that never showed. Lucy in the Sky isn’t a dependable website. If you are going to order online, check other websites and read their reviews. You may come out with a more dependable result, therefore, making your homecoming way less stressful.
