A Journey Through the Sea
A Journey Through the Sea
Liv Palubeckis
Blue whales sift through the cerulean sea
Sea snakes slither through the soft currents
Dolphins leap out of the crisp ocean waves
Sharks snatch their prey with a pop of their jaw
Tropical fish swim happily through the warm water
Without the taint of decay hovering over the domain
The blues of the sea
Cerulean at the surface
Becoming deeper and darker towards the bottom
Until the core becomes icy blue
With the heart of the domain
Sending pulses of energy through the sea above
Matching the pinks of the sky
Soft shades of purple
Mixing themselves in
Reflecting the pink from the sky
To yellow and green
Onto the blue surface of the sea below
Flowing together and meeting at the horizon
In swirls of blue and purple and pink and yellow and green and thousands of colors
All alone on the lonely planet
The negative energy on the plane holding everything in place
Still
Silent
Except for the swaying of palm trees in the wind
Stuck forever on their small slabs of rock and sand
Floating endlessly, tirelessly through the soft ocean
And the crisp sounds of faint splashes
Of the soft ocean waves
Crashing into each other and the shores of sand
The lonely planet lives on
In swaths of color and sound
The sound of silence
And palm fronds brushing against each other
And dolphins crashing against the sea in leaps and bounds
And waves returning to their motherland
The ocean
The sea
