Oakmont Baseball builds off memorable season
Oakmont’s baseball team is expected to have an exciting season this year! In talking to Coach Tim Caouette, he seems optimistic and excited for what’s to come. Caouette describes his team as “a special group”. He says, “They are all on the same page and get along all the time which is rare to find in a group of 20 boys.”
When Caouette was asked what he is most excited about this season he replied: “Everything”. He went on to talk about how much fun every practice and game is with his team, ”Every single practice is just fun, they come ready to put in the work every single day.”
Caouette expressed his excitement for his captains, Jayden Downing, Colby Gouldrup, Sam Curtis, Caleb Allen, and Ben Forbes. He also mentioned freshman J.J. Walker who found a role in the starting lineup.
Some games in particular that Caouette is excited about are the games against Leominster, Hudson, Groton, and Foxboro. The team hasn’t played Foxboro before so they are looking forward to that matchup.
The team has high hopes to make it far in the state tournament this year. This is Caouette’s 8th year coaching Oakmont baseball and it’ll hopefully be the best one yet.
