The Rabbit Hole

The Rabbit Hole

People and their problems. I can’t stand it. A new problem everyday, a new client every hour. Humans are complex things, so complex they must make their complexity more complex to ease their stress. A man gets a speeding ticket for going 10 over because the officer didn’t get his morning coffee. An old woman burns down her neighbor’s house because they stay up too late partying. The complexity of making things complex is too complex to comprehend. That is why we complicate things, a world of complexity makes no sense if it is no longer complex. So, when you do things that make the days harder, you are actually making them easier. Easier for you, but not easier for the man you smashed your car into. Or the doctor who will try to save his life, while his son overdoses in the ER next door. Not the lawyer you have to call, nor that lawyer’s family, who won’t see him for dinner. And your sister you promised to pick up from school will wait, and wait, and wait, until she gets frostbite on her nose. So, the complex people will complicate, and the others will tolerate. Because what is complexity without simplicity?
