The Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans have officially done it: they have won NESBA Championships!

The Spartans, part of Division 3 in the New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA), have competed weekly during October against other Division 3 bands. The Marching Spartans received three First Placements and one Second Placement throughout the competition season . . .  and then at NESBA Finals, they pulled through and won it all.

Not only did they win first at finals, but they also received Best Overall Effect, Best Color Guard, and Best Drum Majors, as well as finishing the season with a score of 94.66.

The last time Oakmont won NESBA Championships was in 2014, meaning it has been nine whole years of waiting for another big win.

All members of the ensemble were awarded a first-place medal as well as the most amount of pride they have ever felt before, being a member of this ensemble.

The Spartans have officially performed A Grimm Tale for the last time competitively, but they still have one more chance to perform it at the Thanksgiving Game @ Lunenburg, on Wednesday, November 22nd.
