Cross Country runs well in Devens!

The Oakmont Cross Country team had a great final meet at the MIAA Division 3 State Championship at Willard Field in Fort Devens! On the boys’ side, sophomore Jayden Brostrom finished 76th out of 188 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 9 seconds, followed by freshman Malakai Kugel-Mackay, freshman Chayse Parker, junior Izaiah DeJesus, junior Brady Law,  sophomore Sam Belcher, and junior Nicholas Ethier.

On the girls’ side, senior McKinley Chabot finished the final cross country race of her career in 39th out of 179 runners, with a time of 21 minutes, 14 seconds. Congratulations to everyone!

McKinley Chabot is a member of the Class of 2024, and is serving as an editor for The Oakmonitor this year. She has been involved with the paper for four years now. Here at Oakmont, McKinley takes part in OTV, SADD and The Forum. She is also a captain of the Cross Country and Outdoor Track teams, and Vice President of the National Honor Society.
