Iran’s Revenge Factor

Nick Nano, Author

As the New Year came around, it comes the time for people to begin their New Year’s resolutions, which includes losing weight, fixing sleep schedules, or even travelling different places. In the midst of the attempts to regain self assurance, a big news story hit the press, and will go down in history. President Donald Trump wasted no time in the New Year, as it was announced he organized a bombing run through Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, and had killed two major military icons, Iranian militia general Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and security policy leader Qassam Soleimani. The realization of such a feat was humbling, because the military leaders had a dark history with Americans, but it did not take time for backlash.

Iranian government realized from the incident, no in-depth research needed, the United States had organized the attack. It was sure that the two were targeted, and were not pleased. Within 24 hours of the attack, Iranian government and military had made it clear they truly aim to seek revenge on Trump’s sadistic coordination. The American citizens had heard the responses by the Iranians, and with a careless understanding, continue to make light hearted jokes about the subject. Iran has a very powerful military, ranked 14th in the world, and are surely not about to let this predicament go without being dealt with.

With more recent news, in an attempt to secure the revenge promised by Iranian government, Iran has carried out a ballistic missile attack on air bases housing US forces in Iraq, in retaliation for the US killing a few days prior. The missile strike sent 12 ballistic missiles into a United States camp, fortunately not killing any United States soldiers. Iranian government later stated on broadcast television that they did not intend to kill any US troops, but to just startle them. In the midst of the violence, a Ukrainian Boeing airplane crash landed in Iranian soil, killing every person on board. Originally, the press stated it was merely a coincidence, but as of recent news, it was announced that Iran had accidentally attacked the plane by the missiles targeting the United States base.

Iran sees this conflict as it was started by American forces, but don’t view this situation as a retaliation for the countless amounts of terror inflicted through the previous months. Donald Trump used this airstrike attack as a way to get back at the Iranian soldiers and government.
