Marching Spartans Win Platinum: First Time in Ten Years

This past Sunday, November 2nd, the Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans competed for the last time in their fall 2025 season at NESBA Finals. This competition was held at the Lawrence Veterans Memorial Stadium and featured an array of bands, including performances from the UMass Lowell and WPI Marching Bands.

After an extremely exciting season, the Marching Spartans landed in second place for Division V with a platinum medal and a score of 95.77. This was the first platinum medal that Oakmont has achieved in ten years, and has set the bar high for the future of the band.

Cara Landry is a part of the class of 2026 at Oakmont Regional High School. This is her fourth year writing for The Oakmonitor. She is in Oakmont’s Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Select Choir. She is also a part of Peer Leaders, SADD, OTV, French Honor Society, and Yearbook Club. In her free time, Cara likes spending time with her nieces and nephews, playing with her dog, and driving around with her friends. After high school, Cara plans to attend college to study neuroscience and psychology. She is very excited to keep writing throughout her last year of high school!
