When coming home from school, doing homework, studying, everything feels repetitive. Nothing is worse than a week dragging on and feeling like a lifetime. Each day, waking up at the same time and attending the same classes, life starts to feel unreal.
Then one night–maybe 2–maybe 3, you have joy in your week. You have a sleepover with your best friend, or maybe friends, whatever you’d prefer. Maybe you have a ton of homework, or have to study a lot, but yet that’s insignificant to having a friend over.
School days drag, but hanging out with friends afterwards is amazing; it’s even better when they have a sleepover. Whenever my friends stay over, the next day at school feels great. You don’t have that gut-wrenching feeling when waking up early, stressing about tests or the long 6 ½ hour day.
Waking up the next morning, having company during breakfast, and being able to talk to your friend. No matter if you go by bus or by car, having a friend to join you while you go throughout your morning is an amazing way to start the day.
Even if you’re running on barely any sleep, school feels amazing. You go home, and though school may take its toll, the day feels quicker and more enjoyable. School sleepovers truly bring joy to the week, especially when it otherwise feels endless.
