On Tuesday, March 17th, the AWRSD District held its annual District Choir Night! In this very special concert, John R. Briggs Elementary, Westminster Elementary, Overlook Middle School, and Oakmont Regional High School all performed together, in their respective groups and all together.
The four schools together performed the three songs, including “The Star Spangled Banner,” “Wake Me Up,” and “America, of Thee I Sing!” A huge thank you to Mr. Lucander, Mrs. Lordan, Mr. Lordan, and Mr. DeMoura for organizing this night and keeping the choirs alive in our district!
District Choir Night is always a special night. It allows the younger kids to expand on their musical talents and see if choir is something they really want to pursue in their future. It’s also endearing to see all of the connections made between all of the kids, regardless of age. It is truly a night to remember.
The last District Concert is the District Jazz night, coming up on April 16th. I hope everybody can experience the magic created then!
