For weeks, Mrs. Stefanakos’ senior AP Literature class has been reading and analyzing Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet. Instead of assigning a final essay or test on the play, Mrs. Stef assigned a unique final project. The class of eight students was tasked with taking the plot and characters of Hamlet and transforming them into a pitch for a movie adaptation.
The group was granted two class days to brainstorm an idea and flesh out every aspect of the film, down to the camera angles and soundtrack. Each member was assigned a specific role, but together they developed an interesting plan.
As a group, they landed on the comedic idea of turning Hamlet’s characters into fraternity brothers and sorority sisters on the campus of Luke State University, fondly named after one of the students, Luke Martin.
At last, the final product was created and presented to an audience of Mrs. Stef and Vice Principal Mrs. Marinelli on Wednesday, April 7. The movie, To Mog Or Not To Mog, is sure to be a hit!
