Oakmont Track & Field With a Spectacular Start to Their Season

With another huge win over a strong Quabbin team, the boys are having another great season, starting 3-0. The girls had their second win of the season, with their only loss to the indoor state champion team of Lunenburg High. The boys pulled off the victory in the second-to-last event, when Jackson Traylor won the 200 with an incredible “hawk down”. The final score for the boys was 78-67. The girls had a dominating win as well, clinching the victory after Ruby Heagy’s win in the 800. With a final score of 81-64, the girls move to 2-1.

Jayden Brostrom is a part of the Class of 2026 at Oakmont Regional High School. This is his second year being a part of The Oakmonitor. He is an editor, journalist, and photographer for the Oakmonitor. He is the varsity captain for both indoor and outdoor track and cross country as well. He loves to be outside running, hiking, or biking with friends. Jayden also likes to go fishing during his free time. He has two dogs and loves to take walks with them and play with them.
