The Addams Family was a success! The Oakmont drama club recently performed The Addams Family Musical on April 10th and 11th. The show had amazing leads including, Ryan Rollo as Gomez, bringing amazing acting and comedy skills to the stage. The amazing Audrey Lavenski, playing a very different role than last year’s Little Mermaid, as Morticia Addams, and Savannah Stowell as Wednesday Addams, bringing her wonderful talents front and center this year.
The show also had a talanted supporting cast, including fan favorite characters Uncle Fester, played by Tegan Maxfield, Grandma, played by Chloe DeMar, Lurch, played by the fantastic Collin Patriss. Oakmont also introduced a couple of new characters – Alice Beineke, played by Lana Carboneau, Mal Beineke, played by Connor Shear and their son and the stories love interest Lucas Beineke played by Julia Feeley.
The show wouldn’t have been possible without the rest of the cast – made up of incredibly talented dancers and actors!
Everyone played their part extremely well in order to pull the show together, but many agree that the choreographer, Dawn Ross, pulled the show together. Dance numbers like “Tango De Amor,” “Moon and Me,” “Secrets,” “Death Is Just Around The Corner,” and “When You’re An Addams” were all show-stopping and were highly regarded by the audience.
Though the choreography was fantastic, it goes without saying that the acting and music were also extremely impressive! Mr. Kris Demoura, our music instructor, worked very hard to teach our ensemble and orchestra the music of the show. Director, Ms. Tanya Leblanc, keept the show organized, and entertaining. Stage manager, Mrs. Salvadoras, led the stage crew in managing the set of the show. Costume manager, Mrs. Raebler,designed, tailored, and crafted many of our lovely costumes.
This was the last show for many amazing seniors, who have been active members in this club for the past four years. Keilana Carbonneau, Ryan Rollo, Lily Harris, Audrey Lavenski, Julia Feeley, Sam Kender, Viktor Staisak, and Chloe Demar all built a strong community in the club and acted as role models for underclassman.
