The New England Patriots are a professional football team from the Boston, Massachusetts area and are the sixth most valuable franchise in the world. Having an estimate of being worth 3.7 billion dollars, the New England Patriots’ are not worth nearly as much as their owner Robert Kraft, who is worth double, at roughly 9 billion dollars. Back in 1994, Robert Kraft bought the Patriots for 172 million dollars ,which was the highest price for a NFL team in 1994.

The Patriots, better known as the ‘Pats’, have appeared in the Superbowl 11 times, winning 6 of them. Tom Brady (aka the G.O.A.T), the star quarterback for the team, has been there for all of their wins in the super bowl and has a grand total of 7 rings, one being from the Buccaneers in 2021.

After Tom Brady was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, rising star Mac Jones had his shot at greatness. Jones was drafted 15th overall in the first round of the 2021 draft from the University of Alabama, and in my opinion, was definitely one of the best out of the bunch. Although New England didn’t have the best record this past season, Mac Jones managed to throw for 3,500+ yards and threw a total of 22 touchdowns on the season.

Even though New England’s offense wasn’t much of a threat in the 2021 season, their defense ranked number 4 out of all the teams on the season. Bill Belichick, the coach of the New England Patriots has always had his way of making opponents’ offenses suffer.

Before Bill Bellicheck was a coach, he was a multi-sport athlete at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. He played center in football and was a captain his senior year for lacrosse. He began his coaching career in 1975, when he became the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants. In 1991, he became the coach for the Cleveland Browns. Out of the five years he was there, he only led them to one winning season. He then relocated to the Ravens, then to the Jets, and then to the Patriots. In my opinion, out of all the time he has had with the Patriots and all the players he has met, Rob Gronkowski was definitely one of his favorites.

When I was in 5th grade I attended one of Rob Gronkoswki’s football clinics when he was still with the Patriots. It was in the summer and was on a beautiful, warm sunny day. My parents drove me out to Foxborough where the camp was held. The camp only lasted about 3 hours. There were probably about 200-300 kids attending that camp and I had lots of fun and made many friends. We ran drills conducted by the Gronkowski family and at the end of the whole camp, he took pictures with individual kids and one of those kids was me. I remember being in shock as I was approaching the star tight end, and didn’t even know how to react. We took the photo and made it into a pillow so now I will always remember one of the best days of my life when I met Rob Gronkowski.
