Sophie Newell, Reporter

Sophie Newell is a part of the Class of 2026 at Oakmont Regional High School, this is her second year as a member of The Oakmonitor. She is a member of the Marching Band as well as the lacrosse team. In her spare time, she enjoys playing softball, being with friends, and swimming. After graduation, she hopes to go to college to become an athletic trainer. Sophie has already been recognized for her writing talents, being awarded an Honorable Mention in the Will McDonough Boston Globe Sports Writing contest.

Megan Vance, Assistant Sports Editor

Megan Vance is a part of the Class of 2026 here at Oakmont. This is her second year writing for The Oakmonitor. Besides that, she is a member of the student council, OEA, and plays lacrosse in the spring. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and watching movies. In the future, she plans on pursuing a career in law. She hopes to continue writing for The Oakmonitor throughout the rest of high school.
