Local Food Review

A+meal+finished+at+Rio+Bravo+Tacos+%26+Tequila.
Cecelia Sears
A meal finished at Rio Bravo Tacos & Tequila.

According to Living In Leominster, you can find authentic Mexican food, a family-friendly environment, and colorful fun decorations. Besides the highly reviewed food it is a reasonable price range. A typical entree ranges from $16 to $25 similar to larger chain restaurants in the area like The 99 and 110 Grill.

Unlike Rio Bravo’s Tacos and Tequila, the Gardner Ale House has been around since the summer of 2006. The Gardner Ale House has a broad, full menu of allergy-friendly options according to The Gardner News. Customers favorite features at The Gardner Ale House include the brick oven pizza and a variety of drinks to test out for yourself. We recommend the mac n’ cheese with added buffalo chicken. Gardner Ale House also participates in many events including Oktoberfest. As well as having live music from many different local bands/artists.

The Old Mill is a quiet, family-owned place serving American-style cuisine in a rustic water mill dating back to 1761 based here in Westminster MA. The local based food at The Old Mill ranges from mozzarella sticks with marinara to fried calamari. The staff are most proud of their cooked chicken rolls, corn fritters, and highly reviewed clam chowder.

When I went last summer, I was most impressed with their potato skins and their old mill burger. At this restaurant, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the pond in every New England season. According to the Restaurant Guru, The Old Mill dishes have low prices making it easier on families and providing a family environment. By hearing about the cultured foods around Massachusetts, we hope you go beyond lobster, baked navy beans and corn muffins and try what Mass truly has to offer.

Brothers Pizza is a local classic in Ashburnham, MA. Brothers Pizza has been in business since 1991. It’s very affordable and easy to access. Whether you are ordering or dining in their service is great. They have classic foods like pizza, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks. There are several different types of pizza places like this around but nothing compares to pizza like theirs. Their place is a basic pizza restaurant. They have booths that are comfortable and they have different seating options which is pleasing.

SawaAsian Cuisine and Lounge is a Chinese restaurant located in Gardner MA. Sawa has been around since April 2010, compared to the other restaurants this is not a very long time. Sawa is very popular considering that they serve vegan and gluten-free dishes. Sawa is beautiful but classic for families to go for dinner. The top three most popular items on Sawas menu are Gyoza, Fried rice and chicken hibachi. My personal favorite at Sawa would be their Lo Mein and orange chicken. The atmosphere of the place is comfortable and pleasing.
