Spartan Center in a New Light

WHITE+OUT+HoCo+Game%21
WHITE OUT HoCo Game!

For Oakmont, Spartan Center is a group of students who enjoy spending their time supporting Oakmont and all of its strong sports teams and programs. We are able to come together and raise money, show our devotion, and bring a sense of community to our school.
Together we BLEED GREEN!

School Spirit

Recently, Spartan Center has been focusing on our fall season sports. For football games, we have been creating fun and inclusive themes for our fan section to come together, take part in, and show support for our beloved team. For themes, we have already done a Beach theme, a USA theme, a Neon theme, and a White Out theme. We are also trying to make away games more of a priority for fans to attend, that way we can show support not only at Oakmont but also away at other schools.

Fundraising

At our home Friday night football games, we have been also trying to make fundraising a priority. We have been very successful thus far. At one game we raised money with a kids’ candy pinata. At another game, we sold green and white-themed cookies. Finally, most recently we did a 50/50 raffle, and we were lucky enough to get the winners’ money donated back to Spartan Center. Lastly, as the fall season goes on we continue to come up with ideas to create a fun, memorable, and supportive environment for the Oakmont students who are a part of this club.

For field hockey, girls’ and boys’ soccer, cross country, and golf we have been putting more importance on attending games. Thus far, we have been successful; we have had wonderful turnouts at most events. This is very important and recognized by our sports teams and we strive to keep this going. Specifically, we had an amazing turnout at our Field Hockey Senior Night. The athletes were extremely happy to see so many familiar faces in support of them! Also, Cross Country recently had their senior night as well and they were supported by their friends and families.

Important games coming up next week for the Spartans at Oakmont…

Tuesday, October 17th: Golf Senior Night
Thursday, October 19th: Girls and Boys Soccer Senior Night
Friday, October 20th: Country Theme Football game, Cheerleading, and Marching Band Senior Night.

For each Senior Night, Spartan Center encourages students to come and acknowledge their seniors for all their hard work and dedication to their sport!

COME SUPPORT THE SPARTANS!
